Our Story

Bristle didn’t come about as a great epiphany, nor did it come with a plan to change the world. Bristle simply stemmed from the desire to build a local service company that was just…better.

Despite our middling success in the corporate world as full time desk jockeys, we knew we wanted to venture out on our own one day, but the pesky question of what exactly we would build kept rearing its head. Finally, with the discovery of a piece of unique software and the realization that the industry in Louisville was behind the times, we landed on an answer: a house cleaning company. We’d combine our customer service experience with some tech-savvy and attempt to create a new kind of cleaning experience - from the initial quote, to the scent of cleanliness left behind after the service.

We believe a great business benefits everyone involved - its employees, its clientele, and its community.

This belief is at the core of every decision we make, and really it is a big part of the reason we started Bristle. It’s easy to fall into the trap of building a selfish company, and most have that tendency, but we would never consider Bristle to be a success without first establishing the success of our employees, our clientele, and our impact on the community.

  1. Our stellar team focuses on taking care of our clients, and it is our duty as a company to make sure our team is taken care of as well.

  2. We don’t have a business without our amazing clients, and without a business, we can’t take care of #1.

  3. If we can be successful with #1 and #2, then we have a duty to share our success with the community. Learn more about our pledge.

It is important to note that this isn’t so much a list as it is a (buzzword alert!) symbiotic relationship between all parties.

You see, we can all benefit from each other to create a net positive for everyone. This isn’t a “taking our piece of the pie” scenario, it is a “let’s all make a bigger pie to help take care of more people” concept. Yes, it sounds lofty, but it’s what we strive for every day.
